John Hope Settlement House offers a variety of programs for children, youth and families. Services include day care, youth recreation, social casework, advocacy, family counseling, youth shelters and family life education programs. DARE's mission is to organize low income families in communities of color to win economic, social and political justice. The Urban League of Rhode Island is a statewide advocacy and service organization that focuses on eliminating racial discrimination and prejudice in the state; achieving parity for Blacks, other minorities and the poor; and achieving social justice and economic, educational and political equality for all. A join venture among government, higher education and the private sector to address the fundamental causes of poverty and urban decline. The Rhode Island Sustainability Coalition is a working group of state agencies, non-profits organizations, schools, businesses, and community members working to create a sustainable Rhode Island by bringing the best sustainability practices from around the world to this region. Clean Water Action is a national citizens' organization working for clean, safe and affordable water, prevention of health-threatening pollution, creation of environmentally-safe jobs and businesses, and empowerment of people to make democracy work. CITYARTS! is a non-profit community-based fine arts/performance organization dedicated to providing an environment which encourages the exploration and development of the artistic talents of Providence youth
